This Relic Makes Shattering Crystal COMPLETELY BROKEN
After receiving a huge buff and then getting nerfed for being too dominant, can Shattering Crystal still break Nightreign with the Dregs of Night relic
Shattering Crystal was hit with multiple nerfs in Elden Ring Nightreign, including increased FP consumption and reduced availability after the Rotten Crystal Staff was changed to no longer guarantee the spell. Many players assumed the Crystalian Sorcery meta was dead… but after testing Shattering Crystal with the Dregs of Night relic in Depth 5, the results were honestly ridiculous.
In this Nightreign gameplay video, I put one of the game’s strongest sorceries to the test against endgame content to see whether Shattering Crystal is still worth building around after the nerfs.

I love to see you keep this game alive they really need an update and depth 5 9999 needs to happen
I had a run where I was just a high dps build with no specified spell on a Depth 5 9999 run. The Ironeye found Shattering Crystal for me and we had the Crater shifting earth… as well as many good passives for boosting magic attack. Safe to say, every mark popped for over 10k damage on Greglord and about 6k without the mark.
Bit hard to see with the Recluse's Twin Moons being mid-cast.
I'm trying to get back to D5 on my main save because I keep deranking to play with people, but I really ought to just play on alternative saves for each of the other Depths. Anything that's shallower than D4 simply isn't the same
'Stead of stabbin' yourself you probably could'a just run into the eye of the storm and taken a tick or two like that to speed up the assurance of your stacks.
You ought to look at Briars as merely a last-resort, secure way of getting stacks going, because, in a lot of cases, you might have better, but spontaneous, ways to do the same. And after a long time of playing, you can gauge what hits you can survive just to facetank one and get back in action.

You could probably be a bit ballsier by aiming casts at Adel's head for extra Damage.
