      If the anime AND the Pretty Derby game are to be believed, then Tracen Academy is probably a University/Institute type place given they got their own facilities, housings(for all we know the staff have their own dormitories and only private contractors live off-campus), recreation centers(specially given what we see in Season 1 and 2 with the indoor Pool, the weights and running rooms in the game), and from the game a greenhouse or farm dedicated to supplying the students with carrots. Think its safe to assume this place is like what College or University is like in most of the world, though I don't know if they have their own stores(I know UAB has a literal convenient store on their campus for students to buy supplies and food from)
